The Legend of Mario Kart

Today has been a great day for both the Mario and Zelda franchises. This morning, I read the news about upcoming DLC for Mario Kart 8, which until this date, I am still enjoying. The first DLC pack, coming this November will include Tanuki Mario (Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario 3D Land), Cat Peach (Super Mario 3D World), and guess what... LINK HIMSELF of Zelda fame! It's about time that a Zelda character finally makes it to Mario Kart territory, just like R.O.B. did in Mario Kart DS. It's like a dream come true! Now if Zelda made it there, too, I will be much happier!

The pack will also include the Blue Falcon and other more vehicles, and two additional cups, with some of the tracks based on the Zelda series, as well as more retro tracks.

The second pack, coming May 2015 will include the Villager and Isabella from Animal Crossing, as well as Dry Bowser from New Super Mario Bros. It will also include four more vehicles and two additional cups, as well.

You can preorder both for $11.99, and you get alternate colors for Yoshi and Shy Guy as a bonus. It's official: Mario Kart 8 just got better!
