Commission: Stretch by Agu-Fungus Commission: Stretch by Agu-Fungus
Commission for :iconodie1049:, of his character Stretch, based on some flexible poses from this page ( contortionistsunite.ning.com/p… ). Of course I took some liberties with the rest of the pose. Enjoy.

That pose... I'm not incredibly flexible, but I've been trying (without much diligence and therefore little progress) to increase my flexibility for a few years now and one of the worst stretches I did was the worst because it left my feet locked like his there.

It was only the 'cross your legs, put your feet on your knees and stand up on your knees' dealio, but I felt like if I got cramped or something, I would be stuck there in immense pain. Now with that pose, that'd be even more stuck.

Very impressive picture and posing though.

That must have hurt, but on the other side, I am curious about how that must have looked ("put your feet on the knees"?). It's the kind of things that is best left to professionals (some seen on YouTube, for example). Say, what are you practicing to stretch like this?

The position looks a bit like this:

It wasn't so much a stretching exercise as testing to see if I could do it. I was doing it because some others were. A bit of fun I guess. It's why we also then stood up and tried to balance (or even walk) only on our knees, but I couldn't do it very long. Too painful.

I don't practice anything specific to that exercise, but I'm very in to martial arts. I've done karate for about 5 years, with some other things mixed in at the ladt couple of years of that. Since then, I've moved states and while looking for a new place to train, came across a Jiujutsu club that also integrates aspects of kung fu, karate and some other styles. Needless to say, this all requires lots of flexibility. Still can't do the splits though. XD

Ah, the lotus pose, a classic Yoga pose. Maybe you could practice that, and with proper training you could achieve your desired flexibility. I wish I was able to practice that, too; but I have very important things to sort out first, financially mostly.

That pose specifically isn't important too me, but what I do need to improve in is things like splits and hamstring stretches. Need them for those high kicks. :P

This is amazing! I love the job you've done on his pose; especially seeing his right leg down his back! That's quite the hip-stretch he has! You interpreted Stretch magnificently with his muscles. His facial expression looks cute! I love this! Thank you so much for the awesome job! :D

Thank you! I also agree how great he looks with muscles in this contorted pose.
